2011’s S3 has only had one real change to it, this year it will come standard as a swallow tail, to help it’s performance and turning arc. The S3 is designed with average surf in mind. So flat mushy waves to tight
beach breaks pockets. It has a wider than normal nose and tail outline which helps carry speed over dead sections, but will still fit into tight pockets because of the curve through the rail line due to the vee flowing out of the tail. A flat deck with full rails (typically they feel 1/16 thicker than the board actually is so can be ridden a bit thinner).
It will suit any type of surfing style, and will work in wave from waist to overhead high.
